State semifinal time

It's over. Cayuga falls, 28-26, in Game 3 and drop the match, 3-0.
-----
We're headed to extra points. Molly Griffey just hit an ace to give Cayuga an edge, 25-24.
-----
Wink has stormed back. Thanks to two Cayuga ball outs and an ace, Wink now trails by only one at 22-21 in Game 3.
-----
Wink just hit its third-straight ball out and Cayuga leads 22-17
-----
Cayuga was up by as many as five points at 17-12, but Wink has clawed back in and now Cayuga leads, 18-15. Timeout Cayuga.
-----
Taylor Wagner just smashed a kill off of a Molly Griffey set, and the Cats now lead Game 3 14-10. Time out Wink.

-----
It's been back-and-forth but Cayuga has made a small run, leading right now 10-8.
-----
Wink opened Game 3 with a 3-0 run, but Cayuga has responded with four of the last five points, and the match is tied at 4-4.
-----
For the second-straight match Cayuga finds itself down, 2-0, in a match that could end the Ladycats season.

In the regional final, Cayuga stormed back against Cross Roads to win the final three games and head to this very state tournament.

If that's to happen again, it has to start quick. Teams don't usually drop three-straight games at state tournaments, but stranger things are bound to have happened. Cayuga has to take in one game at a time, and that starts now in Game 3.
-----
Two straight-aces by Wink's Haley Shackleford end Game 2 here at Strahan Colesium, with Wink winning going away, 25-14.
-----
Cayuga takes another time out after a Wink kill makes the score 18-11 here in San Marcos. A lot of those points against the Ladycats have been self-inflicted, whether it be by missed serves or other errors.

If the Cats can calm their nerves, it seems like they have the talent to play with Wink in this match, but they've got to rebound soon.
-----
Another net serve by Cayuga puts Wink up 16-10 here in Game 2. That's at least the Ladycats fifth missed serve of the game so far.
-----
Cayuga tied the game back up at 5-5 on an ace by Kaitlyn Cornelius, but Wink has rolled off five of the last six points, taking an 11-6 lead here in Game 2.
-----
Cayuga opened Game 2 fast up 3-1, but Wink has answered with five-straight points to take a 5-3 lead.
-----
Heading into Game 2, these two teams look pretty evenly matched. The difference could easily just be state championship experience, which Wink possesses. If not for Wink's stretch of aces late in Game 1, it could've gone either way.

Let's see how Cayuga responds, Game 2 is about set to begin.
-----
Cayuga got back to within two points at 24-22 after a kill by Shawnta Knox, but a Ladycat double-hit gave the game to Wink, 25-22.

We're switching sides heading into Game 2 with Wink up early, 1-0.
-----
Wink trying to pull away on three-straight aces by Haley Shackleford. Timeout Cayuga with Wink up 22-17 in Game 1.
-----
18-17 Wink after a net violation by Danielle Anderson on a kill attempt. These two teams are very evenly matched right now. Cayuga timeout with Wink up 19-17.
-----
After another Wink run put them up 12-9, Cayuga responded, tying the game on a block by Jessica Blair and Knox, then taking the lead, 13-12, on a Knox kill.
-----
CHS up 8-7. Wink took a 7-5 lead, but Cayuga has rebounded. Anderson ace gives 'Cats the slim lead.
-----
Tied up at 3, with CHS kills by Shawnta Knox and Danielle Anderson.
-----
The introductions are finishing up here at the Strahan Colesium in San Marcos, and the Caygua volleyball team is about set to take on Wink in the first of two Class 1A state semifinals this morning.

The Ladycats come into this match at 35-12 on the year, while Wink comes in with a tournament-best mark of 35-8.

For what it's worth, the Texas Girls' Coaches Association (TGCA) ranked Wink No. 1 in their final poll entering the state tournament, while ranking the Ladycats No. 2.

It's time for first serve, so let's go!
